From January a wave of concerts with BSP and Naceva, Pavlicek, DJ Five

In February a protracted crisis arises within Prazsky Vyber caused by a substantial rupture and dysharmony in the personal and artistic relationships between Michal Pavlicek and Michal Kocab causing an internal split of Vyber into two imaginary halves.

16th February saw the successful premier in Theatre Ta Fantastika of the musical the Picture of Dorian Gray, directed by Jiri Pokorny.

On the 18th March Michal is nominated for the Alfred Radok prize for his music for the performance of Akvabela

Report Magazine issues the Michal Pavlicek Story DVD on the occasion of his fiftieth birthday.

The soundtrack CD to the musical of the Picture of Dorian Gray is released.

Music for the television feature film Nevlastní bratr - “Stepbrother,” directed by Patr Slavik is completed at the start of May and preparation work continues on the symphonic arrangements for the concert in Sazka Arena.

In June Michal composes music for Jakub Spalk's theatre production of Cyrano de Bergerac at the Celetna theatre in Prague.

On the 9th of June Michal appears before 7000 people in the Sazka Arena for his induction to the Radio Beat Hall of Fame.
This concert is the pinnacle of his musical career. In the presence of his closest friends B. Basikova, K Strihavka, V. Cok, T. Hajicek, J. Hrubes, and others and accompanied by the symphony orchestra of Cesky Rozhlas radio under the direction of conductor Miroslav Valka, Michal presents a cross section of his work to date.
The concert is recorded by Czech Television.

In August he appears with DJ Lucca at the Machac dance festival. A clip appeared on www.lucca.cz

Also in August, he composes and records music for the theatre production Troilus and Cressida, directed by Jiri Pokorny, which will be added to the repertoire of the Na Zabradli theatre in Prague.

BSP tour throughout the autumn, topped by a concert in Retro Music Club in Prague, recorded as a DVD. BSP disbands for the foreseeable future.

In December, after a protracted and acute crisis, the definitive breakup of Prazsky Vyber in it's original form is announced.

Vlasta Redl guests at the Christmas concerts in Brno and Prague.

The long-awaited cd and dvd Michal Pavlicek - Beat Hall of Fame is released. It goes double platinum in three months.
