2004

During the first half of 2004, music is composed for the Ondrej Soth directed and choreographed ballet production of The Little Prince.

 

At the same time, incidental music for the television films Hadí tanec - “Snake Dance,' and Zlatá brána - “Golden Gate” is composed, for Petr Salvik and Jaroslav Brabec respectively.

 

March sees the release of the Excalibur CD.

 

At the same time, Michal, as composer and producer, completes most of the songs for the Daniel Hulka CD Dílem já - “Work of I.” Lyricist Alfred Radok and composer Michaela Polakova also worked on this project.

 

From the spring, Pražský výběr begin to gradually appear on concert stages around the Czech Republic and throughout the summer harvest success at the larger rock festivals.

 

Music for The Little Prince CD is recorded in June with a symphony orchestra conducted by English conductor Vartan Melkonian.

 

From June the reformed group BSP performs a series of concerts until the end of the year.

 

The successful premier of The Little Prince takes place in Kosice in September.

In the second half of the year his compositional efforts focused on the work for the British thirteen part TV series Outlaws. This consists of symphonic music with elements of rap and electronics. The series airs in England in late October. This series is also broadcast on Czech Television under the name Zbojníci.

 

In November Pražský výběr plays concerts in the USA. The last concert of the tour, in New York's Knitting Factory, is completely sold out.

 

Pražský Výběr complete their comeback with a 1.12 concert in Prague's Lucerna which is recorded by Ceska televize.

 

At the end of the year and beginning of 2005 Michal completes work on the television serial Dobrá čtvrť - “Good Neighbourhood,” directed by Karel Smyczek.

 

The DVD „Best of Na Kloboučku“, featuring live sessions by Michal Pavlicek and Friends is released as a supplement to Report magazine.
